GOODMAN NO LONGER A KNIGHTRob Harrington
Rutgers and forward Jordan Goodman have agreed to part ways. The 6-7 WF — formerly of the Beltway area and now at Jacksonville (FL) Arlington Country Day — undoubtedly is one of the nation’s best shooters in his size range. Goodman enjoyed a fairly good summer in 2010 and was set up for bigger things this year, but reports emerged that the Scarlet Knights coaching staff was having second doubts and that Goodman himself was ready to reconsider his options. The Goodman news certainly is a downer to some extent, but Rutgers overall has inked a very strong crop of newcomers for next season. They’ll also benefit from the transfer of former Kansas State big man Wally Judge, who will sit out next season and become eligible in 2012-13. |
