HOLLOWELL CHOOSES HOOSIERS

Indiana continues to snarf up blue-chip underclassmen from within its region. The Hoosiers received the nod on Thursday afternoon from Jeremy Hollowell, a 6-7 junior WF at Indianapolis (IN) Lawrence Central. Hollowell is yet another very talented product from the state, and his pledge disappointed Ohio State and others in the region.

Hollowell isn’t an eye-popping player in any particular area, he’s just a good all-around athlete who should become a steady four-year contributor. His presence in a 2012 class that already includes those such as Yogi Ferrell and Hanner Perea, Ron Patterson and Peter Jurkin is enormous looking ahead to future editions of Hoosier teams. Of course, IU also holds McDonald’s All-American Cody Zeller in tow from its 2011 class, to fans shouldn’t have to wait two whole years for the arrival of major talent.
