COONEY COMMITS TO SYRACUSE

It’s always important to capitalize on a great season, and Syracuse did just that in getting a commitment from DE junior WG Trevor Cooney, a sharp-shooter who has played for one of the most successful AAU teams (Team Final) in the country and has shown he can co-exist beside such stars as Michael Gilchrist.

Cooney had considered Maryland, West Virginia and Notre Dame, among others, and he ranks as one of the most accurate three-point shooters in the Class of 2011. He’s having a solid junior season, averaging 18 points per game.
